Happy New Year The Hood needs Resolutions in 2018

Midnight on the East Coast rang in 2018. Millions of people are trying to stick to their New Year Resoultions. The Hood need several this year. The following are things we as a people need to adopt.

1. We must resolve to learn how to handle conflict. We tend to jump straight to "I'll kick your ass" mode instead of stopping and thinking of our response that will attempt to squash any beef we make it worse. I did this yesterday when a young female tagged me in the post and I got angry and posted angry words. In the mean time she was speaking to my sister. My mentor talked me into deleting my comment.
 We do the same with fist fights and guns. We fight and now instead of trying again or even better accept our loss we get a gun or a gasoline can. We would rather steal a life. We are not God. We have no right to take someone's life because we can not handle our anger.

2. To much sex and drugs on our pages. We are not animals or sex objects. All the smashing and passing games prove to others that we are lacking morals. Most people who live here aren't having sex with multiple people or doing the drugs like crack and pills. We have to stop doing this nonsense on our pages. It's only hurting us.

3. Education: We got to stop thinking Education isn't for us. That is a lie. We just have to fight for it. We need to demand the Public Schools treat us as tax paying Citizens and it is our right. We have to get the basic education so that we can help our children and Grandchildren.
The most important thing we need to know is OUR rights and fight for them. Once we know our rights than they will stop scaring us with plea bargains.
The second thing is Financial Literacy so that we can learn how to manage our money better. This will prevent evictions and utility cut offs.

4. Voting We need to vote and not just for President but for Mayor, and Council, School Boards, State and Representatives and Senators on both State and local elections.

5. Regaining Hope We need to go back to before 1986 and get our old traditions. We Ole Heads have to tell our kids, grands, and greats what life was like when we were kids.

We have to start changing our lives depend on it.

A Father and Seven year old son shot to death.

On Tuesday, December 26, 2017 the local news reported that two men and a seven year old boy was shot and killed in Swissvale. The father of the boy died on site. The little boy died in Children's Hospital that night.

The father, Walter Stewert JR, aged 29 ran the Braddock Toy Drive. He wasn't a known drug dealer and he was loved by the entire Community. He was a loving dad, his son was his life. Yet something happened in that house.

I hate reading the comments on any article about black folks because I'm tired of reading Racist Remarks especially ones about a 7 year old child. One Racist commenter referred to this innocent baby as one less Thug. His father wasn't a Thug so why would he become a Thug. This is extremely hurtfilul and ugly.

No one knows what happened in the house that night so anything is speculation. Three men were arrested that night including one who was shot. We may never really know what happened but that doesn't change the fact that we have a father and son both of whom were young.

We, Community Activists, tell the story of the victims because now their voice has been silenced. They deserve to be memorialized because they all meant someone to someone.

We are failing as a society until we start talking about what is going on in the hood. Rest with God Angels we will see you when we get there.

What the Hood Needs Most Community Activists and Leaders

I've written several blogs about what the Hood needs. We need a lot of things all are very important but one thing is usually over looked and that is Community Activists. I'm not talking about kind hearted Middle Class folks but people who know what the hood is like because they live there. Because, people who live in the hood are all races, the Community needs Activists of all races.  We are here but the media ignores us because we are trying to destroy their bread and butter because we want to murders to stop.

Most Activists are women and most have lost someone important to them due to Community Violence, formally known as Black on Black Crime. Thanks to racists using that to justify white on black murder and Black racists saying it doesn't exist that random white men were coming into the hood. I'm not kidding a member of Black Lives Matter told me this is what is happening. Neither group helps our cause.

We also do not need Very Pro Police that they never admit bad cops exist and those that view the Police as evil, rotten, Racist bastards. The former group would be ignored by the people because we know a lot of cops are abusive. The second group do not want our people cooperating with the police which is also ignored because not all cops are asses. Most of them are decent people who love what they do and they play by the rules. No matter what you think of the police they are on the front lines and Community Violence kills them too. They are also charged with the task of comforting Grieving mothers who lost a son to violence.

Community Activists must be strong enough to stand up to Killers, drug dealers, and addicts. They do not want to lose a lifestyle that is beneficial to them.

Our first mission is to end Community Violence by both changing the way the hood thinks to working with police to build Community Violence and to get justice for the family of the victim. We have to build a relationship with the police. The police have begun to change their ways and realized they need the Community as much as the Community needs the police.

We need to be strong enough to let everyone know that we will not allow drugs to be bought and sold in our neighborhoods. We will no longer tolerate the middle class to purchase their drugs in our community. If they are so proud of their drug use then they can buy them in their own neighborhoods.

We have to be strong enough to get the Criminal Justice to see that we vote and if they are Democrats refuse to solve these crimes we stay home or vote Republician and vice versa. We want crimes solved without the lame excuse about no snitching nonsense. We want Justice for the people in the Community.

We also have to be brave enough to take on our peers about how we are living. We need to be able to tell parents to get their Children and continue to say that to their faces. We have to keep telling them that they would not like it if it was their family.

Yes people there are a lot of people speaking out about the hood but the news won't cover us.  Some of us have histories of selling drugs, using drugs, being in Prison, being Gang Affiliated, and other problems Society can point their fingers at. This may not be good when your a Politician but when you are trying to reach young people who are gang affiliated drug dealers; that actually looks good on your resume.

When the temperature drops the Homicide rate goes down

It's very cold this morning, for most people that may not be a good thing, but for those of us that live in the hood freezing temperatures mean that no one is going to lose their lives. It means the Killing Season is over. To us it means a reprieve from worry about the young people in your life being murdered. It means that shots won't ring out in the night.

I live in North Braddock PA, which is located 5 miles outside of Pittsburgh. It's located in Allegheny County. This means that winters here can be cold and brutal.  Today is one of those days. I do what I always do turn on the news to check the homicides and shootings. Today there were none.

The past two winters were warmer with less snow. Allegheny County have a bump in Homicides for both years. That is because in 2015 and 2016 were both warmer than usual. We had very little winter. Although, winters have no effect on some murders but it drops the street murders in the hood to close to zero. The first time the temperature outside hits 50 degrees the first homicide happens. In 2016 that turned out to be March 9, the day of the Wilkinsburg massacre. 2017 murder rates have hit 100, a slight increase over 2016.

Activists should be busy during this time trying to work with the young people teaching them anger management and Conflict Resolution so the next time a beef pops up between two young men they settle it in a way that results in both of them living.

Five Woodland Hills students or former Students die in six months

There have been at least five students or former students murdered in the past six months. The Allegheny County District Attorney's office assures the people that there are no Serial Killers nor are these deaths gang related. Talk about telling people what they already know. I guess the DA understands that it was the hood talking to other Hoods that caused him to lose his primary for District Attorney. He now understands we want deaths in the ghetto solved and proscuted. We are tired of unsolved crimes especially when we notice how quick other murders are solved. He sent out the report the same day a suspect was caught in the case of a 17 year old killed in May.  Sounds like they had a suspect but people won't let up this accountability issue on not only the police and Prosacuters to solve and try these cases.

We knew it wasn't gangs because the gangs around here will kill only if one of their members get killed. In other words this is like the other murders outside of the hood. Now they have to work as hard on our cases.

The Braddock Police Chief wants to meet with the Communities involved and many Activists, including me, plan to do just that. We already know that the police and Prosacuters can't do their jobs without the community doing their part and cooperating with law enforcement. We also need to convince others to tell what they know.

We got 1 down and several hundred if not thousands of unsolved homicides of the past several years.

Where is our grief Counseling and where is Black Lives Matter?

This morning, on his Facebook page, my nephew tagged his friends begging them to be safe because he doesn't want to lose anymore friends.  He's 16 years old. No 16 year old should ever have to beg his friends to be careful out there.

My Hood lost two teenagers and a 24 year old young man to homicide. Not one but three people yet we haven't heard a peep out of Black Lives Matter nor has anyone offered to give our Community grief counseling. Do they think it's so normal here that we don't need it? As for Black Lives Matter, I'm going to need for them to either start giving a damn about all black lives or change their name. They claim to think black lives matter but they don't get involved unless whites and cops are doing the killing well guess what BLM the majority of black men are killed by other black men. Do you really think to the families and Communities that lose young black men every day care that these young lives were stolen by black men? They don't. They want Justice not a group who hate the police so much that they actually tell black people not to cooperate with the police. That's because like the White Middle Class, BLM, gun violence is not something they deal with daily. I understand that but unlike Whites they deny that black men kill other black men. Well guess what it happens and I'm gonna need you to either care or change your name.

The last time BLM showed up in the hood was to protest the Klan. We have had several protests in the hood to protest the genocide going on in the hood. They get online and create cute little hash tags like #sayhername and many others but they don't even try to learn the names of people killed here.

As for mental health counsling, we never get offered that. Why not? One of my dear White Middle Class female friends pointed out that the entire hood suffers from PTSD. If a white middle class woman who lives in Maine knows this why doesn't the Professional Mental Health facilities think the Community needs to heal. Are we super human that multiple homicides leave no psychological scars. Are we so strong that no one thinks we may suffer from PTSD. We are not Superhuman and we are angry, sad, and confused. We hurt just like the people in Las Vegas, New York or any other city that suffers major loss of life. The only difference is for us this is a 32 year nightmare that seems like it will never end.

To the Hood, we have to continue to love and care about each other because it seems no one else does. #onehoodoneloveuse

Three Children shot in one night two different shootings.

This weekend in Pittsburgh was violent. On Friday night two little girls, aged 10 and 3 years old were shot in the Hill District. The 3 year old was shot in her arm and the 10 year old in her leg.
About 5 miles away in Lincoln Lemmington a 14 year old was shot in the head. He passed away last night. He was from my hood.

On Saturday night a 24 year old man was shot in Homewood. He was from East Pittsburgh.

I write RWG (Rest with God) and RIP so much that every time I type capitial R those words show up on the phone.

This is from the City which over covered the death of a dog for two weeks the police shot an unarmed black man to death because he dared to defend himself from a biting dog.  Yes he was a Police Dog but what that said to black folks is they value the life of a dog more than a human being. I've hated dogs ever since. No wonder we don't value our own lives when you learn that your life is considered less valuable than a dog.

We don't know what occurred before these young people got shot. The media will never cover an hour by hour man hunt like they did for the Cop who were murdered. So many people have died in this City but the only manhunt for the murder of someone from the Hood was the Wilkinsburg Mass Shooting. It took a brutal murder to warrant the same attention that the middle class get.

We don't even get respect from Black Lives Matter because they refuse to admit that black men murder each other. They actually believe that random whites are shooting random black people. Our black lives doesn't even matter to a group called Black Lives Matter.

Its Time for Us as a people to make some Changes

I was listening to Tupac's Changes last night. Anyone who knows me knows I love Tupac. Tupac was a rapper and film star back in the late 80s early 90s. He was murdered at the age of 25 shot to death on a Las Vegas street. His homicide remains unsolved.

In the rap Changes Tupac says "We have to change the way we live. We have to change the way we eat and change the way we treat each other" He's right we do have to change our ways. We have to decide rather we change or die. Its that simple. This is a list of changes we need to make.

1. Adults we were poorly educated and as messed up as that is we have to step up and fix it. We are not stupid we are smart we are not educated. That is what we need to change. We need to change that. We need to be able to pick up the job for our kids and grandkids.  We will continue to give off negative emotions. We have to stop making fun of the Bougsies for "talking white" its speaking English. We do not want to discourage our babies from learning. We need to learn the basic skills to teach the next generations.

2 Two parent families. I did not say marriage but if you are Christian get married. I don't care how its done let's do it. My friend Jen and her husband Donald were living together and raising their kids together. Marriage came on July 17, 2016. Their kids grew up in a two parent home. I love Jen I was glad she got married.

3 We got to change the way we treat each other. We got to stop picking up the gun for dumb beefs. I am not going to lie I was 52 and still fighting in these streets but we got to stop that. We need to learn how to be non violent. We need to start using our words.  We have to stop the killing I'm tired of saying RIP and RWG all the time.

4 We no longer need the No Snitching rule back in the day it was necessary for survival but that is no longer needed. You see something call the police if it were your family you would want justice. We have to corporate with the police. Do not listen to the Bougsies talk to the ones who do not want you to talk to the police. Remember this they do not live in the hood its not them who have to put up with daily shootings. Its not them loosing their families.

5. We need to learn to budget our money. We stay broke because we are not keeping track of our money. We have a lack of money we can still budget but you have to account for every dime.

We have better stop or we will all die. We have to stop catching cases and stopntaking plea bargains. We need to start exercising our rights.

Finally we have to have each others back we are the only people who truly understands when your lights get cut off. We need to remain united.

Why Children of the Hood trick or treat in the Suburbs

Today is Halloween and all over America kids are planning their night and excited about Trick or Treating. The children in the hood have to leave their neighborhood because its to dangerous in their own neighborhood. Parents don't want to leave but they are afraid of loosing their children to violence so they travel to the Suburbs and Trick or Treat in neighborhoods that are safer.

Braddock has an annual Halloween party and that is an alternative to leaving the hood when you have no money for bus fare or in my case no longer able to walk that far.

There has been a lot of push back by people in the Suburbs because of all the children coming into their neighborhood even though the kids do not cause any problems and just enjoy the holiday as most kids do. I wonder if the people who complain realize that these children have difficult lives as it is and this is the only way they  can go trick or Treating safely. I can hear them complain on TV on why people can't stay in their own neighborhood. These children, all of them, have either lost a loved one to homicide; witnessed a shooting, or have multiple experiences with gun shots being fired in their neighborhoods. Our children deserve a night of fun too.

Most Hoods don't have an alternative to Trick or Treating. Braddock has one because of the Mayor, John Fetterman, and his wife Gisele Fetterman.  I get why people complain but instead of complaining how about helping out at in the ghettos give them an alternative. Trust me if a bunch of middle class white people came and guarded the kids they could. Trust me no one will shoot up a neighborhood when the hood is filled with White Middle Class people.  Maybe you could have an Halloween party in a community Center and take donations for prizes but especially candy. Hot dogs are a great meal for kids.

Think about what it would be like if it were your kids and grand kids. How sad you would feel if you weren't welcome in the Burbs and your parents wouldn't let you go Trick or Treating in their own neighborhoods.

All Memorials are not appropriate

My newsfeed was full of outrage the past two days because someone decided that he wanted to paint a mural in the Homewood section of Pittsburgh.  Homewood, the place where at least a thousand people have died over the past 31 years.  A man decided that the mural wanted to be a memorial for the latest mass shooting.  It might have been nice in another neighborhood but not in Homewood. The residents were outraged because most people felt that they lost loved ones to gun violence and that their loved ones deserve to be honored in their own community unlike the people in Las Vegas they lived in died right in that community. So let me get this straight you think you can come into a community and sell them a service or open a business but you think that its OK to disrespect an entire community. I could truly understand if the owner was related to anyone killed in Vegas but he didn't know anyone.
 

A lot of people wondered why if he must honor victims of mass shootings why he did not pick The Wilkinsburg shooting that happened in the next town over from Homewood and most of the victims killed were from Hilltop in HOMEWOOD.  I guess that was to much like right for the owner.  Its bad enough that the Wilkinsburg shooting was downplayed anyway but the National Media but to bypass our own dead for outsiders.  What was he thinking?

Now the hood has compassion for the people who are killed in these mass shootings, however, they get all the attention but do not have anywhere near the body count that normal every day shootings in the hood have. The causalities are caused because the Media teaches Middle America they should run.  Your actually murdering your own fellow citizens because you and others are trampling people who hit the ground.  You do NOT run nor do you keep your head up.  I bet there is not a cop in America who would have people run to get away from a shooter. We do not generally have angry men and women who decide that they want to end their lives and take as many as they can.  I also believe that they love the mass shootings because it makes the Media relevant.  I personally would never even publish his name or anything about the man because he doesn't deserve to have his name known. I bet if you did that you would not have anyone shooting up places.


Property owners do not have the right to do whatever they want most suburbs have laws stating what you can and cannot do in your neighborhood.  We also have the right to tell property owners what not to do in our neighborhoods.  All we want is some common decency when it comes to what is appropriate because I am sure that most people are aware of the problems in the hood.

When Will Hood Lives Matter to John and Jane Q Public

During the mass shooting in Las Vegas, a young man in an accusing tone basically asked me of I had ever been in a mass shooting. I live in the hood of course I've experienced a lot of gun violence. In 2012, during an afternoon street shootout a bullet wizzed by my head. I was walking to the store school busses were unloading and two young men began firing at each other from cars. I was lucky I didn't get shot that day. I have lost friends and children I watched grow up. I have held in my arms mothers who lost their sons or daughters.

It is due to this that mass shootings affect me. I have no tolerance for politics about anything when this happens. I always end up feeling some kind of way that anytime this happens the gun control issue comes up. If every Liberal in the United States would be as impassioned about violence in the hood we may be able to solve this issue. If Liberals and Conservatives would march with us during peace March's we would know that you care. Most people in the hood say this about those outside the Hood. It comes from Boyz in Da Hood. "Either they don't know they don't show, or they don't care about what goes on in the hood". Ice Cube said this in 1991 and 27 years later it still is relevant. I have been online for nine years preaching about this and unlesse they are from the hood or they are Conservative, people read but they either are afraid of being labeled racist or they do not know what to say. People are silent. Conservatives are called racist so they are more free to speak out. This is a warning to Liberals if you do not stop ignoring us we will not vote for you. We are getting tired and trust and believe Republicans will come to our hoods and they will care and you will lose us. Do not take us for granted anymore.

Every year in the US we lose thousands every year to gun violence in the hood and thousands more are injured. That is 100 times more than all the mass shootings put together. When are people gonna care about our lives?

Hood lives matter and we are dying. Please care about us.

Urban Violence In the United States is ignored by UN. Why the UN ignores problems in United States concerning the poor.

I am doing research into Urban Violence in America.  I found a lot of information from the UN report on Urban Violence.  They talked about the drug trade in all these third world Country but ignored the United States. This is not surprising to me because this isn't the first time that the UN ignored problems that plague the United States.  I get that they can not afford to piss off the United States but they need to be held accountable. They are to blame for the racism, sexism, and the failed war on drugs and oppressive laws that have destroyed the Urban communities in the United States.


The Politicians in the United States usually ignore the poor people in this Country both Urban and Rural because they usually do a good job of making the poor seem stupid, trashy, or violent.  The Middle class throughout my life time have always screamed and  yelled about various issues that resulted in outrageous laws regarding sentencing.  The Republicans can bare some of the blame but the Democrats really can't call them out because the most oppressive, racist laws are those in Blue States like California with its three strikes your out laws and New York's Rockefeller law that tripled the time served for selling crack rather than cocaine. There are literally people spending life in prison for pick pocketing. Then they want to know why their damn taxes are so high. Your paying to house and feed people for picking pockets instead of giving them maybe a year or two. New York's Rockefeller laws put mainly black and brown men in prison for 30 years even though the most you got for the same amount of Cocaine was 5 years. You would think Politicians would learn right? Nope they did the same thing to poor whites with Crystal Meth, mainly used by Poor Rural Whites.
Heroin used to be a biggie but since Middle class whites are now the Primary users of Heroin now they get rehab.  What is the difference between an addict hooked on Crack, Crystal Meth, or heroin.? There is no difference at all.

Marijuana, which has a lot of medical uses is a Class One Drug, that is appalling and needs to change but the screamers and snowflakes continue to cause people to be forced to take poison into your body such as Chemo, because they are so holier than thou. I bet the majority of people who bitch about weed are those that drink wine. What is the difference? Your still getting high. The next Federal vs States rights is going on now with a half dozen or more states making Marijuana legal and will not cooperate with the Feds with arresting people.


Why does the UN refuse to believe all the legitimate claims that the hood has against the United States for unjust and illegal laws? Because they are afraid of the United States and Russia. Those two counties and commit Genocide on their people and the UN will ignore it and pretend it is not their business.  How ever let some despot in Africa try doing that and watch what happens.  They can do something. Shame the Middle class who actually with all their crying and screaming and being the snow flakes they are so that they at least try to find out what is going on before they start screaming and yelling and crying.  Then people wonder why we look at the Middle Class like they are dangerous its because to us they are.

People in the hood would not sell drugs if they had jobs but no one will give them a job especially if he did time.  A person convicted of selling drugs is not likely to steal from your store any more than any one else and with the job you give him/her maybe he or she can actually remain out of trouble because you took a chance on them and gave them a job. Who knows they may turn out to be your best employees.   No one dreams of becoming a Drug dealer but if no one gives them a chance then they have no choice but to sell drugs.

Now of course not all Middle Class people are snowflakes, most men are but most women aren't. Yes Middle Class men you really are the biggest snow flakes white and black..


So UN if you are allowing The United States and Russia to get away with things that you are not allowing Africa or North Korea to get away with then what good are you. Remember something Africa and the rest of the third world countries can not do without sanctions. then perhaps you should disband because you are not helping anyone. 

Tired of loosing our babies.

Yesterday a young man lost his life he was 12 years old, a baby, really but someone murdered that young man shot him cold and left him to die all alone. This time it was a 12 year old boy. Last week it was a 7 year old girl and next week it may be a toddler. This happens so much that the community that these children reside in are shedding so many tears when we lose so many young people that its starting to destroy our community. 


So many people who live here are shell shocked and along with the sadness and heart break is anger and fear. When a neighbor across the street or next door to you is having a party you think to yourself "Will I get shot if someone starts shooting because they have beef with another party guest. 

Back in the day, gangs began to limit who got shot, because women and little kids brought heat to the gang and they were arrested or it interfered with the drug trade. Now the major gangs, like the CRIPs or BLOODS are not generally shooting each other. Small gangs and people who have an axe to grind or someone who lost a fight to someone else gets angry and shoots someone.  The little kids and women get killed because someone started shooting and can't shoot.  They may shoot up the house and a stray bullet kills them through their window.  


Most people that I know living in the hood has had their house shot up either because someone went to the wrong house or because the bullets went other places because the person couldn't shoot.


How do you explain to small children that a 7 year old girl was shot while sleeping in her bed? How do you explain to 12 year olds that the Quarterback on their football team was shot and killed while he was playing in the park?  Children in the hood are more familiar with homicide because most kids know someone in their family that got shot and killed. Its part of life that children do not even need adults to help them memorialize people who were killed in their neighborhoods this is something they see a lot especially in the Spring and Summer.

Our children are very resourceful but they are also afraid. The times, as a parent, that were the hardest is explaining to your teenager or pre teen why they had to live in a place where so many people were murdered.  I didn't have the answers then and I still do not have the answers. Now it is up to them to explain it to their kids and like me they do not have any answers.  The cycle of violence continues.

What About Our Issues?

I have either been involved with or have been heavily recruited into joining some causes.

My main cause is urban violence and other urban issues like hunger, homelessness, lack of affordable grocery stores, etc.  When I mention this to the very people who want me to help them, they tell me it's not as important to them. This is one of the things I hear: “It's not real. Black people do not kill each other; it's white cops doing it.” This comes from Black Lives Matter.

“What about the black babies killed by abortion?” comes from black pro-lifers.

“We need to defeat Trump first,” said one member of the Trump Resistance.

I'm tired of hearing that my issue doesn't matter. We are dying daily and you think we don't matter.

Sit me out of all your causes. I'm too busy fighting for my people.

Why Do White Liberals ignore the problems in the Hood? Why do Black Middle Class Liberals deny that that any problem exists?

I have had this question on my mind for at least 26 years. Why do White Liberals ignore that the Inner city has this high homicide rate?

These white liberals will scream for Gun control laws from the Mountain top  if a mass shooting happens in the Suburbs.  I wondered if these same liberals would scream about gun control when we were the victim of a mass shooting.

On March 9, 2016 in Wilkinsburg, PA two gun man slaughtered 5 people and since one of the women were pregnant they were charged with six homicides.

I was surprised that the only people who posted this story or even mentioned it were Conservative Whites and Hood Whites. As for the Black people they commented. Black people from the hood and black Conservatives expressed outrage and sympathy for the family and joined the chorus that we needed to do something.  Black Liberals blamed the white man and even the police.

The international press carried this story and even some Conservative press covered it. Black magazines like The Root, and The Griot—two online black magazines covered it. It was on these sites that the people of the hood saw black middle class Liberals tell people who lived in the hood that they should be ashamed for  telling people where they lived. They told us that black on black crime was a myth that we were foolish enough to believe this myth.  The people in the hood grew angry and refused to help groups like Black Lives Matter during their protests we weren’t going to join their protest when they denied that we were killing ourselves.

We watched as black Middle class young people called people racist or threatened to get them fired from their jobs if they did not stick to the story that black on black crime was a myth and that white cops were killing these black men.

We watched in horror as black middle class Liberals told our children that they had better not snitch on someone black. They really have no idea how it feels to watch several people die every year during the Killing season. They really have no idea how we need to start snitching when it comes to people committing homicide. We were angry that they would do that to our children.

So to the White Liberal—the black middle class Liberal is only a small percentage of the people likely to vote Democratic. They will vote for the Democrat no matter who is running.  The black from the Hood may not vote because he/she feels both parties are bad for them.  The other 10% of Black people are Conservative and tend to vote Republican.

Unless White Liberals stop listening to the small amount of people in your party and start listening to the larger community of people who live in these communities you will continue to lose.

To the white liberal Black on Black crime is NOT racist it’s a reality that millions of people every day have to live with.  It’s not a myth. White cops are not coming into poor black hoods and killing black men and setting up other black men. The fact that you believe this stupid foolish mess makes me wonder about you

You should never ignore gun violence because the victim and killer are the same color. You would never ignore a white killing another white. Why would you ignore us?

To The Hood Spring Means Death

This Saturday my granddaughter's father lost another cousin to homicide. Big Tone was 31 years old. He and his little brother Trillis used to hang out at my house, several years ago.
Last year Trillis lost his life; he was also shot. Last weekend another young man, Purderty, age 25, was killed in a bar on the South Side of Pittsburgh. He grew up in Hawkins Village and knew my kids.
These three men are by no means the only people I know who have been murdered. I have been dealing with losing people to homicide for 31 years. It never gets easier. It just gets passed down to the next generation.
My adult children in their 20s and 30s have all lost several friends. My granddaughter who is seven has now lost three cousins.
We are tired of it but nothing ever changes because of the no-snitching rules. Little kids are taught that snitches get stitches. People who snitch have been killed. So every spring the Hood USA loses people. Thousands of young men are murdered every year.
People in the Hood often ask themselves: Does the rest of America know what is going on in the Hood? Do they even care?
